Orlando Informer Meetup Review

My family has been lucky enough to visit Orlando theme parks … countless times. Through my years cheerleading, our road trips to Fort Myers and stopping in Orlando for a day or two, and one-off visits, we thought we’ve done everything except the Disney VIP tour (which is $950/hr for minimum of 7 hours). When my sister mentioned Orlando Informer, I was intrigued but thought surely it was too good to be true.

I was proven wrong! Below is everything you need to know if you are deciding whether or not to go to an Orlando Informer event.

What is an Orlando Informer Meetup?

Essentially, it is after-hours access to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in Florida with shorter waits and unlimited food included. The park felt like it was at 5-10% capacity, with the majority of the crowd in Harry Potter world.

You get five and a half hours at the park after hours, depending on when the park closes. Our event was from 8pm - 12:30am, with the park closing at 7pm. Access to the park begins at 5pm, which I would recommend taking advantage of. They offer 1-night tickets or both nights, typically at a variety of weekends throughout the year.

Price

I bought my ticket 1 week prior to the meetup on December 5, 2025 and it was $250 for one night. For the spring 2026 meetup, currently for the early bird pricing, it is $239 for one night, or $389 for both nights. This includes:

  • your park ticket + hopper to both parks

  • access to almost every ride

  • unlimited food at majority of park restaurants and quick service

Compare this to a regular hours park hopper ticket for 1 day at $179, or 2-day park hopper for $303. The meetup also has a noticeably smaller number of people in the park, so you essentially have an express pass at every ride, with most rides being walk-ons. If we include the price of an express pass per day at 1 park for a 2-day park hopper, your total comes to $917 (give or take depending on the dates you choose). This is not inclusive of food either. According to Google, the average price of a meal at Universal Studios is $20-40 per meal per person.

So you can see that the price is very competitive.

Rides

We visited the first weekend of December 2025, and I only saw one ride with a wait time and it was Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure, with the longest posted wait time being 45-minutes. According to Google, the average wait time is higher than 70 minutes. We rode Hagrid’s Motorbike twice with a total wait time between the two times being around 50 minutes. Compare this to when our family visited in July 2025, and we rope-dropped Hagrid’s Motorbike and still waited an hour and 20 minutes. I’ve once seen the wait at 600 minutes…

We rode:

  • Velocicoaster (walk-on)

  • Hagrid’s Motorbike twice (60 minute wait total for 2 times)

  • Hogwarts Express to switch parks (walk-on)

  • Escape from Gringott’s (walk-on)

  • Revenge of the Mummy twice (walk-on)

Food Included

The majority of the restaurants are open, but close around 11:30pm, or an hour before the meetup ends. We started at The Three Broomsticks and they had shepherds pie, fish and chips, apple crumble, house salad, butter beer, pumpkin juice, lemonade, tea all available. We also stopped by Fire Eater’s Grille for a gyro and cookie. We finished the night with ice cream from Florean Fortescue’s in Diagon Alley (clotted cream for life!).

Also when checking in, they have a GIANT warehouse with food stations, drinks, and cocktail tables to mingle and eat before going into the parks if you check in at 5pm and are waiting until 8pm for the meetup to begin.

Alcohol is not included.

ended the night sooo sleepy but so happy!
