The Hoxton, Dublin Hotel Review
In January 2026, my best friend and I decided to take advantage of a Monday off from work and visit Ireland for a long weekend. We made Dublin our homebase and road tripped around the West Coast for 2 days before making our way back.
I stayed at The Hoxton in London and Copenhagen in 2024 and loved it, and have since become a Dis-Loyalty member (linked here are the reviews of those 2 hotel stays + my member perks). So naturally, we decided to visit The Hoxton, Dublin this trip!
During our road trip to County Kerry and back to Dublin, we stayed at Hayfield Manor in Cork overnight, but chose to keep our reservation at The Hoxton in Dublin through the entire weekend so we didn’t have to check-out then back in. Since the hotel was newly opened when we visited, the stay was 50% off!
Price and Room Overview
Getting the important things out of the way first. We reserved the “Roomy Twin,” for €553.00 (this is inclusive of the 50% off for it being newly opened) and it was surprisingly indeed roomy! As an American, I find European hotel rooms to be …minimal; however, with the “Roomy Twin,” we 2 twin beds and it was, in fact, roomy!
The room also included a desk, a wardrobe, an entry way, and a LARGE bathroom. The bathroom lacked some storage, but there was a ledge over the toilet where you could place your items, and the shower was very large.
Amenities
The hotel boasts 4 on-site bars and restaurants: a Peruvian restaurant/bar, a sandwich and coffee shop, the lobby bar, and an upscale library bar. As a Dis-Loyalty member, you get 10-20% off your food and beverage ticket + a free barista-made drink each morning, which makes it very tempting to stay in and get cozy with a pint in hand. Since the hotel was newly opened, we also received (quite a few) “Free Pint” cards from the front desk!
We had breakfast at Cantina Valentina, the on-site Peruvian restaurant and loved it. I opted for the yogurt with fruit, scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon. They also have iced lattes!
The Library Bar is stunning - dark wood, gigantic windows, low lighting and fireplaces, plush seating. We visited our final night and had martinis while we finished our VAT tax refund paperwork. This bar is legendary in Dublin, so much so that when The Hoxton bought the property, they were supposedly inundated with phone calls inquiring if they were keeping the Library Bar. I can attest that it is a lovely bar :)
Finally, they have Dollars, their New York-style deli and wine bar, and The Lobby Bar, a quintessential pub-vibe in the middle of the hotel with street access. We grabbed a few pints from The Lobby Bar before we’d head out, and also grabbed coffees from Dollars each morning.
Neighborhood
The Hoxton, Dublin is in prime location. On the same street as some amazing shops (COS, Brown Thomas, Chanel, Laduree, etc), there is also a grocery store across the street for any snacks or drinks you’d like to have stock of in your room.

Trinity College - 5 minutes
Temple Bar - 6 minutes
National Gallery of Ireland - 12 minutes
Jameson Distillery - 19 minutes
Guinness Brewery - 25 minutes
Pros and Cons
The hotel was beautiful, inexpensive, grand location, amazing amenities and restaurants on-site. The only downside I’d say is the lack of a gym.
